Edinburgh Festival

The Edinburgh International Festival is held every year at the end of summer for over three weeks. In major theaters, concert halls and a number of smaller venues, it presents a rich program of classical music, theater, opera and dance.

In addition to the three-week festival, it also offers an ongoing education program for all ages, from primary school pupils to adults. The Festival began in 1947, and since then other festivals have taken place in August and early September, all together often referred to as the Edinburgh Festival.
